Hello and welcome to my shop! I am a Rhode Island based jewelry designer and have been making jewelry for over 17 years. I completed my studies at Massachusetts College of Art majoring in marine illustration, and while working full time as an illustrator I began making jewelry as a hobby. Soon I decided to sell a few of my pieces at a local artisan shop and Fuchsia Bloom Studio was born.
Today I work at my home-based studio and create necklaces, bracelets and earrings hand-made with either sterling and gold-filled wire or knotted silk thread and an assortment of unusual and colorful beads made of antique glass and crystal, pearls and semi-precious stones. All of my pieces are one or few of a kind. Besides my online venue I sell to specialty boutiques and at artisan fairs. I recently have added some textiles and linoleum prints to my inventory.
At Fuchsia Bloom Studio one can find a combination of styles: some with an antique feel reflecting my interest in jewelry from the Medieval, Edwardian and Art Nouveau periods, and also those with a funky, artsy vibe. I try to incorporate my love of color and knowledge of design into each piece.There is something to please everyone! I pay great attention to quality and craftsmanship to insure that you receive many years of enjoyment from your purchase.
